One of the best high-altitude fireworks shows in the northwest blasts off from a barge anchored off Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood, and Photographer Francis Zera captured these great images on July 4, 2011 on the beach of Ken and Darcy Peterson of Color Printing Systems (be sure to click full-screen option for best images):

If you missed Monday night’s spectacular fireworks show at Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood – or simply want to re-live it – here’s a video shot from the north beach on the iPhone of B-Town Blog Publisher/Editor (and 3TP resident since 1995) Scott Schaefer (to get the best viewing experience, select full-screen):

Here’s a time lapse video of 2011′s entire 4th of July day, from morning to night, shot at the intersection of Maplewild SW and SW 172nd.
Using a PlantCam placed on top a cabana, and shot at a rate of 1 frame every 30 seconds, this video was Produced/Edited by B-Town Blog Publisher/Editor Scott Schaefer.
Look for:
- The rush to (and from) the Community Breakfast
- The kid’s procession
- Greg Dill!
- When a Burien Police cruiser parks
- When the first band, Jaguar Paw, starts
- When the 3 Tree Point Blues Band starts
- Dancing in the street
- Sun setting (a black dot due to the weak digital chip in the camera)
- And…can you spot yourself?

If you didn’t make it to our Hollywood-themed Donor Party on Saturday, June 25, 2011 – here’s what you missed (click image to see slideshow of Photos shot at the event by Ernie ‘Enzo’ Sapiro):

WE DID IT!
We raised enough money to fund another 4th of July Fireworks Show at Three Tree Point!
Thanks everyone who pitched in – from our Silver Level Corporate Sponsor ( Key Bank) to the anonymous donor who sent in two $1 bills – every penny added up and we met our $24,000 goal!
However, if you still haven’t donated, you still can, and all extra monies will be rolled over into the 2012 fundraiser drive.
We also have a very limited number of tickets available for the annual June 25th Donor Party – donate $175 or more and you’ll get invited:

The Three Tree Point Fireworks celebration is supported entirely by donations from the communities of Three Tree Point, Seahurst, Normandy Park, Seola Beach, Arroyo Beach, Arbor Heights and others.
Our barge based, high-altitude fireworks show has gotten better every year thanks to countless people who have donated time and money.
In 2011, our goal is to keep the fireworks and community celebrations at the same great level that they have been at. This will be the fourth year we are seeking corporate sponsors for our event.
We raise funds in May to ensure we have time to get all the permits, insurance and the best vendors.
Originally started by the Miller family as a gift to The Three Tree Point Community, the fireworks tradition was continued by neighbors when the Millers moved away.
In addition to the fireworks, the neighborhood traditions of pancake breakfast, kids games, flag raising with awards, bike parade and more have been ushering in summer at our great community. What a great place to live!
